Our Institute of the Leg offers a global approach to cellulite problems and resistant fatty clusters on all other parts of the body

Cellulite and orange peel cellulite

The skin

It is composed of 3 layers.

The epidermis: The very superficial part thick one tenth of a millimeter.

The dermis: Connective tissue consisting essentially of collagen and elastin fibers. It is very vascularized and a thickness of 1 to 3 millimeters.

The hypodermis: Greasy tissue of varying thickness ranging from a few millimeters to several centimeters; It is made up of conjunctive partitions perpendicular to the surface of the skin that fit into the deep face of the dermis. These partitions determine lobules responsible for storing the adipocytes.

In cellulite, these greasy lobules increase in volume and protrude both in the dermis in depth and also on the surface.

As the inter-lobular partitions are not extensible the skin is drawn in deep which gives the appearance of "orange peel" and padding.

It is an increase in the thickness of the hypodermis associated with a more or less significant increase of the dermis according to two mechanisms:

  • Increased size and / or number of adipocytes.
  • Increased water infiltration into the tissues.

Cellulite corresponds to:

  • Has an alteration of the superficial dermis responsible for the appearance of orange peel.
  • And to an alteration of the deep dermis and the hypodermis responsible for the volume and its form.

it mainly affects the thighs and buttocks, but it can also be on the abdomen, calves and arms.

According to polls, 80% of women have cellulite, and the rest of the female population think it will!

Cellulite is found more often in women, whose subcutaneous fat is more superficial, skin thinner than men, while the latter have diagonally structured fibers less favorable to give the appearance of orange peel.

Structure difference of subcutaneous fat cells

Several factors are at the origin of cellulite: heredity, sex, percentage of body fat, age, skin thickness, sedentary lifestyle, insufficient hydration, poor eating habits, smoking, etc…

In addition, it can appear after puberty, after pregnancy or following the taking of anovulants, which indicates a possible hormonal influence.

Schematically, there are 4 types of cellulite:

  • Greasy: soft cellulite, painless to the touch. It appears when you pinch the skin.
  • Hydric (also called "oedematous cellulite" or "cellulite hydrolipodystrophy"): cellulite accompanied by significant water retention.
  • Fibrous or fibrolipodystrophy: cellulite hard and painful to the touch.
  • Mixed

The fat cell destocke its lipid vacuole composed of triglycerides in fatty acids and glycerol thanks to a lipase. It stores the opposite thanks to lecithin.

Scientifically documented studies have shown that there is no significant elevation of lipid levels in the blood after these destocking.

The adipocyte

The adipocyte is a spherical cell composed of a lipid vacuole and many different sympathetic and steroidal alpha and beta receptors.

The alpha-receptors extremely sensitive to insulin are lipogenetic and promote the storage of fat.

The beta-receptors are lipolytic and are responsible for fatty melt.

The adipocyte has the capacity to store the fatty acids by transforming them into triglycerides (lipogenesis) and depleting the triglycerides by converting them into fatty acids (lipolysis).

Triglycerides of fatty tissues activated by lipolysis release their fatty acids into the circulation and are used by the muscles.

Anti-cellulite treatment

Cellulite treatment requires a holistic approach, not a single treatment:

  • Eating a balanced diet.
  • Eating less salt and caffeine.
  • Getting more exercise will also contribute to treatment.

The purpose of anti-cellulite therapy is therefore:

  • Restructure the superficial dermis and therefore tone the connective tissue.
  • Reduce the deep layer by lipolysis.
  • Improve microcirculation and lymphatic circulation.

The reduction of the deep layer is made by the hydrolysis of fat into fatty acids, then the fatty acids will be precipitated in the cycle of citric acid where they will be transformed into pyruvates and lactates, metabolites which will serve as preferential fuel to the muscles that Contracted in the vicinity: the released fatty acids are thus consumed by the muscular contraction.

During active physical exertion (aerobics), he muscle consumes glucose and glycogen, the use of fatty acids is then very reduced. Active work-type sports effort accelerates the cardiovascular rhythm, increases the local glucose perfusion and its use at least in the first 20 minutes of exercise.

It is only in a second time after 20 minutes that the fatty acids will be partially used for the muscles: it is therefore necessary that our effort is superior in duration to 20 mn.

The techniques

We use three different techniques for the treatment of cellulite detailed in the following tabs:

Palpé rolled manual and electrical muscle stimulation: Release of the lipid vacuole but the fat cell persists.

Liporadiology: Improving the appearance of cellulite, firming (in the face, neck and body) and the circumference of certain parts of the body, including arms, abdomen, thighs, buttocks and neck.

Cryolipolysis: Which destroys fat cells locally.

The Institute of the Leg offers an original and effective method of treatment of the panties of horse, the cellulite and the "orange peel" skin aspect.

manual palpate-rolled for the destruction of adipocytes

The method includes in the same session:

  • A manual palpate-rolled for the destruction of adipocytes.
  • Followed immediately before the restocking of the fatty acids, by a session of Omboxx Sport Simulator.
  • General and manual lymphatic drainage.

In December 2010 the HAS followed by the Ministry of Health gave the following conclusions on the techniques of treatment of cellulite:

  • Implementation of non-invasive lipolytic techniques using external physical agents without skin scarring (focused ultrasound, radiofrequency, laser, etc.) presents a suspicion of serious danger to human health.
  • The use of adipocyte lysis techniques using injections of hypo-osmolar solutions poses a serious danger to human health.
  • The use of adipocyte lysis techniques using injections of lipolytic products (phosphatidylcholine and / or sodium deoxycholate) poses a serious danger to human health.
  • The use of adipocyte lysis techniques using injections of mesotherapeutic mixtures presents a serious danger to human health.
  • The use of adipocyte lysis techniques using carboxytherapy poses a serious risk to human health.
  • The use of adipocyte lysis techniques using transcutaneous laser without aspiration poses a serious danger to human health.

Apart from the surgical techniques and the cell-M6, all other methods were therefore prohibited.

The method proposed by the institute of the leg is therefore aimed at giving a new solution that respects the 3 phases identified as being necessary for the success of a treatment against cellulite.

The palpate-rolled manual

manual palpated-roll for saddlebags

The manual palpated-roll is well known as the most effective way to break a significant number of adipocytes and release the fatty acids for the adipose component of cellullite.

It has the disadvantage of being very "physical" for the operator hence the search for alternative techniques now prohibited.

Various technical variations make it possible to treat the appearance of orange peel and the fibrous component when it is present very effectively.

The released fatty acids must be "consumed" by muscular work within 20 minutes after the palpate-rolled to prevent their re-absorption in other parts of the body.

The Omboxx Sports Simulator

muscular work in a playful and very intense way with Omboxx

The Omboxx is a totally original technique designed by Omegasport to make muscular work in a playful and very intense way.

Intensive muscular work simultaneously carries on the upper and lower body to achieve maximum energy consumption, superior to alternative work and able to consume fatty acids before restocking in the most effective way.

The SportLab also allows, although incidentally for our main purpose of cellulite treatment to work the leg curves, glutes, as well as pectoral muscles and beauty of the bust.

The concept of the OMBOXX sports simulator

OMBOXX sports simulator

To transform the practice of cardio-training in the hall into playful activity as on a real squash playground or another indoor ball sport.

In a space of a few m2 the sportsman is projected into a virtual universe that requires him very real efforts whose intensity adapted to each is almost unlimited.

In this ludic setting, in interaction with his own efforts and a real or virtual opponent, the sportsman forgets the time and intensity of the effort to concentrate on his game. A Kinect for Windows captures the pedaling speed of the Player-athlete as well as all his movements.

To move in the video game the player-athlete must pedal more or less quickly according to the levels. He must also play the ball with the necessary force, speed and range of motion.

The data collected are transmitted and integrated by the software to be transposed into the course of the video game.

I make an appointment with the OMBOXX to make a party as with a partner: finished the trouble and the suffering, long live the excitement and the pleasure to play!

General and lymphatic drainage

lymphatic system

Definition :

The lymphatic system is the set of structures that participate in the defense of the body (immune defense), and also plays a role in the circulation outside the arterial and venous circulation itself.

General and lymphatic drainage:

The 3rd stage of drainage is to facilitate the disposal of waste in general and those produced by the 2 previous steps.

It also helps to facilitate circulation back to the lymphatic level and to have an action on the watery component of cellulite.

The goal of the leg's institute is to have good results.

To properly evaluate the chances of success the validation of several steps before and during treatment is necessary.

Treatment process

Initial medical check-up

Cellulite type

The quality of the response to treatment is strongly related to the type of cellulite that dominates in the person considered:

  • Grease: The quality of the response will be average and the hygiene-dietetic measures will be important to consider.
  • Aqueous: The quality of the immediate response is the best but the recurrence will be faster if we do not take into account the circulatory and lymphatic factors.
  • Fibrous: The quality of the response will be the least good with this type of cellulite generally installed for a long time.
  • Dominant "orange peel" skin aspect: Corresponds to an alteration of the superficial dermis.
  • Dominant of capitons: Related to the deep dermis.

Study of circulatory factors

  • Physical examination
  • Venous Doppler
  • Evaluation of lymphatic involvement

State of hygieno-dietetic

  • Food.
  • Physical activity.
  • Centimeter measurements, body impedance-metrics, BMI, photographs.

Consideration of personal factors

These factors are very important and are often unknown, they are:

  • The stress.
  • The quality of sleep.
  • Body image and personal motivation.

Criteria for Patient Selection

At the end of the medical assessment a summary is made according to an evaluation grid taking into account each of the elements.

The main criteria will be the value of the BMI (Body Mass Index) which must be less than 25 and a body impedance-metric index of less than 30% of fat on the segments of the body to be treated (see below).

Customizing the program

A patient being eligible for treatment the personalization of the treatment program makes a synthesis between:

  • The wishes of the patient
    • 4 major sectors can be treated, varying according to age in particular:
      • Thighs
      • The buttocks
      • The belly
      • The underside of the arms (bat wings)

For reasons of duration / effectiveness of the treatment 2 sectors only have to be chosen, for example: the buttocks and the belly.

  • The imperatives related to the type of cellulite
    • Fibrous cellulitis should first be defibrosated by a specific massage.
    • Aqueous cellulitis will be primarily drained by massages.

The leg's institute sets the best strategy possible and implements the most appropriate means of action on 10 sessions at the rate of 2 sessions per week.

The Institute of the Leg offers an original and effective method of treatment of saddlebags, cellulite and orange peel.

Liporadiology Institute of the leg Liporadiology Institute of the leg

The liporadiology device, thanks to hand pieces of different dimensions depending on the location of the body, simultaneously performs a mechanical rolling action, a radio frequency action and a red LED action.

Depending on the zones and the parameterization of the apparatus, the volume of the fat cells is reduced and the skin tightened with a "lifting" effect.

This technique can be proposed alone or in combination with other techniques.

The cryolipolysis Institute of the leg involves destroying the fat cells by cold without altering the skin.

Cryolipolysis Institute of the leg Cryolipolysis Institute of the leg

The adipocyte dies at a temperature of -9°

The muscle and cutaneous cell at -13°

This is the general principle of cryosurgery.

Approved by the very demanding FDA in the USA this technique has proved its effectiveness: about 30% of the fat cells of the treated areas are definitively eliminated: they will not return in the event of weight gain, unlike all other non-surgical techniques and regimes.

Cryolipolysis is proposed for localized fatty clusters for example persistent on thighs after a diet with slimming all the rest of the body, love handles, double chin, belly fat…

Totally painless and safe, this technique requires few sessions, but the result is appreciable in all its efficacy only after 2 to 3 months after treatment.

Up to 4 zones can be processed simultaneously.
